Subject: GREAT DOWNLOAD
The five stars are tri-facto in nature. One, for the movie, two for the quality of the download, and three for providing alternative downloads for people. I love these high GB downloads because I know I’m getting the best possible quality from the source. With Free Download Manager, they are a snap to download, and compression technology programs like Windows DVD maker also love them because they operate on total minutes, not total GB, so a person can make a 5 GB, 90 minute movie, and have it look exactly like the original download using around 2 GB total disc space on a DVD. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, and low megabyte downloads with other movies are sow’s ears. This is a silk purse download. People who complain about these high megabyte downloads just DON’T GET IT. This is the first review I’ve written, I am so impressed with your download. So a big THANK YOU for making this great movie available!

Subject: Do Not Waste Your Time...
I'm usually very charitable in my Reviews, but this film is a complete waste of time.

At about 1hr 11minutes, it drags so slowly that it seems like 3 hours ! Way too much "filler", and never gets to the point until the last 5 minutes.

The script is very poor, lots of "repeat" situations, fair cast, but w-a-y too long !

Nice twisty ending, but as I mentioned above, you may miss it because you fell asleep.

Subject: John Bromfield Excellent In The "Big Bluff"
An exceptionally good movie. The ending is a surprise - to say the least. John Bromfield delivers an outstanding lead performance - much to my surprise since I identify him with his role about the same time in TV's "Sheriff of Cochise." His co-stars were also good - Martha Vickers, Robert Hutton, Rosemarie Stack, and Eve Miller. The movie progressively builds both in plot and suspense - stay viewing until the very end.

Subject: Oh brother
"You know you're beautiful when you're mad."
"I should have have known better than falling for a big lug like you."
It's like that all the way through the movie.
Makes my stomach hurt.

Subject: Swanky and skanky!
When terminally ill rich-girl Valerie is advised by her doctor to go somewhere quiet for a rest, she chooses "The Town House," a swingin' fifties LA hotel--it's even got a Tiki nightclub on the first floor. She meets Riccardo (who alas, is just a gigolo), and he's got a girlfriend: nightclub dancer Fritzi.

Rich girls in swanky nightclubs, skanky guys with fast convertibles but not a dime in their pocket. Always a formula for trouble. This movie has it... in spades, baby.

Many funny scenes with this grade-B cast. You'll find yourself backing up the film to watch little moments and laughing over and over again. The best is when Valerie tells Ric that Doctor Peter said she hasn't long to live. Valerie grabs Ric and says with such earnest passion: "Oh Ricky, I want to live! I want to live... with you!" Marsha and Peter give each other a look that can only mean: "Ew. We're outta here."

Not a bad plot, even if a bit predictable. All the hot spots are represented: Hollywood, Palm Springs, and Wakiki Beach. They go to many cocktail lounges. They wear cool clothes. There's a lot of grabbing and kissing. The whole movie oozes with 1950s swank, which makes it fun to watch. And it has a great ending.
